Chief Rabbi Lau applauded on Monday the High Court’s ruling against alternative kosher certifications.
According to the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi, “There is a national kashrut system whose role is to give the ‘stamp of approval’ to kosher food. Any decision that would have allowed providing alternative kosher certificates, some even fictitious, would have harshly misled the greater public. I applaud the fact that this was prevented.”
