The Foreign Ministry's appointment committee, headed by Ministry Director Dr. Dore Gold, has approved a number of appointments.

Yossi Armeni, the head of the political planning department, has been chosen as the new ambassador to Budapest. Geri Koren, currently the ambassador in Prague, will now represent Israel in Moscow. Koren will replace Tsvi Hefetz, who will be take up his new role as the Israeli ambassador in Beijing in January.

All of these appointments still require the government's approval.
