A shark attacked and killed a diver off the coast of Australia yesterday (Sunday), CNN reports. This was the second lethal shark attack at the site in the past week.
The diver was about 35 kilometers north of Perth with her dive partner when the shark struck. According to police, the partner tried to bring her to safety, but she died before reaching the shore.
The man "felt something go past him," said a police inspector. "When he surfaced he saw a commotion in the water and then another boat arrived to pull him out of the water, and then it was noticed that the lady had suffered some severe and fatal injuries."
