Culture and Sport Minister Miri Regev (Likud) has announced that her ministry will put together a plan to regulate the broadcast of popular sports competitions, such as basketball and soccer.
Under the current situation, the rights are controlled by two large companies. This harms a large section of the population, which is unable to watch the matches.
The new team will include the director of the Communications Ministry and the head of the Cable and Satellite Council.
