Discussions between Likud and Zionist Union officials are reportedly still ongoing, according to Yisrael Hayom. The talks are aimed at expanding the government coalition.

Labor Party head Yitzhak Herzog's office has strongly denied the existence of such meetings, though the report stated that the Zionist Union may split up as as not all of its member parties are willing to enter the government.

It is believed that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is willing to give the Foreign Ministry and Economy Ministry to current members of the opposition.
