Protesters have reportedly turned violent at a Donald Trump rally in San Jose, California. It is not clear what set off the fighting, but pictures show rally attendees being struck with bottles and covered in blood.
Police arrived on the scene and arrested a number of protesters.
Both Democratic presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, have released statements condemning the violence.
