Education Minister Naftali Bennett on Thursday night initiated and led a march that began at Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem and will end before dawn on Friday at the Western Wall.
At the start of the march Bennett said, “Education is not only in the classroom. We announced that we would hold ‘Jerusalem Week, and ‘Jerusalem Year’ in the education system, because only a people who remembers its past has a future. Our goal is to connect Israeli students to the love of the city. Jerusalem is not only a place, Jerusalem is our destiny, a city of three religions which symbolizes our hope for true peace and justice.”
