UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon turned to the UN Security Council and requested to reinforce Peacekeeping forces in Mali.
Ban asked to send an additional 2,500 soldiers and police officers to the country, after five UN Peacekeepers were killed in attacks in the country last week.
