Israel Fire and Rescue Services Commissioner Shimon Ben-Ner publicized a decree on Tuesday evening banning on Wednesday the lighting of bonfires in open areas where fires are likely to break out.
The decree will be binding upon the Golan Heights, Upper and Lower Galiee, the Gilboa Mountains, Judea and Samaria (including Jerusalem) and Yatir Forest.
