Ahead of the Lag Ba’Omer bonfires, MK Nava Boker called to those organizing bonfires throughout the country to take precautions against the spreading of fires.

“The Carmel Forest tragedy, which claimed the lives of 44 people, started by youths who threw one small coal after using a hookah. That coal turned the entire area into ruins, and destroyed the lives of 44 families. In preparation for Lag Ba’Omer, it is important for me to remind the public, especially the youths who will celebrate around bonfires, that you are responsible. Do not take this likely. I am asking you to take extra precautions. Do not leave a single coal on fire. Make sure you keep a safe distance from the fire.”
