Interior Minister Aryeh Deri responded during the Shas faction’s meeting to the impending coalition deal with Yisrael Beytenu.
“I prefer a broader government and I hope that talks will end today. The matter must be concluded hastily so we can begin to work, since there are many tasks ahead of us.”
Regarding matters of religion and state, Deri said that “We made sure that any matters related to the status quo… will not be raised for debate.”
