The head of the Syrian opposition’s delegation to peace talks in Geneva, Assad Zoabi, on Sunday blamed Hezbollah for the death of its senior military commander, Mustafa Badr al-Din, in an explosion in Damascus over the weekend.

Speaking to the Al Jazeera network Zoabi said that Hezbollah’s claim that a rival group was responsible for Badr al-Din’s death was "ridiculous", and added the goal of the organization is to cause "outrage among the public and justify the continuation of hostilities".
