MK Nachman Shai (Zionist Union), along with other Knesset members, petitioned the Supreme Court today (Sunday) against the decision to place the new Broadcasting Corporation outside of Jerusalem.
MK Shai explained that such a move would be illegal and in complete violation of the Public Broadcasting Law and Basic Law: Jerusalem.
"The Supreme Court must prevent the execution of this outrageous decision," he said. "It's unreasonable that the Prime Minister should so rudely trample the rule of law and so gravely harm the status of our capital."
