Meretz head Zehava Galon has responded to opposition head Yitzhak Herzog's (Zionist Union) post about negotiations to join Netanyahu's coalition.

"Herzog's desire to join Netanyahu is a direct continuation of an entire year of ethical weakness and idleness by the worst prime minister the State of Israel has ever had," he said. "The excuse doesn't change: bringing parties into the coalition is always intended to advance the policies that Bibi wants. Israeli citizens still want to change the government, and the opposition deserves ethical and uncompromising leadership that will fight for Israel's future as a democratic, law-abiding and peaceful state, and which will bring an end to the political careers of both Herzog and Netanyahu."
