IDF Chief-of-Staff Gadi Eizenkot publicized his Memorial Day statement on Wednesday morning.
“Today, we will remember and mourn and stand by the relatives, who carry with them memories of their loved ones who fell, and an incomprehensible sense of longing. We also remember our commitment to missing IDF soldiers and fallen soldiers whose burial sites are unknown, and we promise to continue to act to have them returned to our borders. We promise to stand alongside our wounded victims, who paid an unbearably heavy price, and to accompany them during their recovery process,” Eizenkot wrote.
