The National Security Council Counter-Terrorism Bureau has released a travel warning for Israelis intending to travel to Tunisia, particularly during Lag B'Omer.
The warning reads: "There is a severe travel warning for Tunisia (high concrete threat). Terrorist elements, especially those affiliated with Global Jihad, continue to operate in Tunisia and commit attacks; therefore, there is a high threat level against Jewish targets. It is recommended that visits to Tunisia be avoided."
Lag B'Omer will take place on May 25 and 26 this year. The Tunisian island of Djerba is a popular spot for Jews to celebrate the holiday.
