Mossack Fonseca, the law firm whose leaked documents led to the "Panama Papers" scandal, has apologized to a Chinese client, Reuters reports.

The letter was in response to a Chinese bank's questions on Mossack Fonseca's compliance with international financial standards. The firm's regional general manager said that he "deeply regrets" any misuse of services.

It is not known whether Mossack Fonseca sent out similar letters to other clients.
