IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkott has announced that senior IDF representatives will wear dress uniforms.
This will apply to officers at the rank of brigadier general and higher, as well as officers with specific roles that call for the new suits. In particular, they will be seen during Holocaust Memorial Day, Memorial Day and Independence Day events.
Until now, officers only wore dress uniforms while abroad or during unique occasions, such as when US President Barack Obama visited Israel in 2013.
