The Hesder Yeshivas Union applauded the appointment of Rabbi Eliezer Igra to the position of Dayan (religious judge) at the Great Rabbinical Court in Jerusalem.
Rabbi Igra, an alumnus of the Kerem B’Yavneh Hesder Yeshiva, served in the IDF and fought in the Yom Kippur War.
The head of the Hesder Yeshivas Union’s headquarters said that “The Hesder Yeshivas view it as a right and an obligation to establish generations of Torah scholars and Dayanim who will serve the nation and the State.”
