The Ministry of Education has asked the courts to order an injunction against the teachers' union's plan to strike. The union says that teachers will not hold the annual school trips and activities outside of the classrooms.
The Ministry claims that the teachers' union has no reason to strike, as it signed collective agreements and pledged to keep the peace until August 31, 2017.
The strike was announced in solidarity with the driving testers' strike.
