More than 80 percent of the US Senate members have signed a letter, imploring President Barack Obama to sign a new aid package for Israel.
The move was led by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Chris Coons (D-DL). However, presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders (D-VT) was not among the 83 signatories.
The current aid package is worth about $3 billion per year.
