MK Shelly Yechimovich, who initiated the law to limit senior finance employees’ salaries, slammed Leumi Bank’s Deputy CEO, Danny Tsiddon, who announced his resignation, citing the new legislation as the reason for his departure.
“Tsiddon’s resignation should have been done quietly and shamefully, instead of publicly declaring that an annual salary of 2.5 million shekels is not befitting of him. Instead, he chose to haughtily disparage a law that the entire public, the Finance Minister and the Knesset unanimously supported after seven years of exhausting debates.”
“Tsiddon can rest for the remainder of his life on the sums he earned while working at the bank, and there is no doubt that more fitting manager will be found, who will be satisfied with a 2.5 million shekel annual salary,” the MK added.
