Five former police officers from New Orleans have plead guilty to shooting people in the aftermath of 2005's Hurricane Katrina, Associated Press reports. In exchange for their guilty pleas, they will receive reduced sentences.
All five were initially convicted in 2011, but a judge later set aside the jury's decision because the federal prosecutors acted improperly.
Four of the group have been in jail for almost six years, while the last one was released on bond.
