Following instructions from Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, the Foreign Ministry sent a strongly-worded letter of protest to all the country that supported the recent UNESCO resolution to refer to the Temple Mount only by its Arabic name.
Ministry director Dr. Dore Gold wrote of Israel's anger over the attempt to erase the Jewish connection to Jerusalem and to its holiest site.
