The Supreme Court rejected an appeal made by the leader of the northern faction of the Islamic Movement, Raed Salah. Salah was convicted of incitement to violence and incitement to racism.
Salah’s appeal against the conviction was rejected, but his prison sentence was reduced from 11 to nine months.
