Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu responded to the exposure of a Hamas tunnel in southern Israel.
“In recent days, the State of Israel achieved a global breakthrough in its abilities to locate tunnels. I applaud the IDF Chief-of-Staff, the IDF, the Shin Bet (ISA, Israel Security Agency), intelligence and technology personnel, for this unique breakthrough. The government is investing considerable capital into destroying the threats posed by tunnels. It is an ongoing effort. We will continue to invest with persistence and with determination.”
“Israel will respond strongly to any attempt to attack its soldiers and civilians. I am certain that Hamas understands this very well. I would like to tell the residents of the area adjacent to the Gaza Strip: The IDF is working around the clock to ensure your security and daily routine."
