Police volunteers at the entrance to Ashdod stopped a vehicle for inspection early this morning (Friday). The driver, however, tried to escape and struck one volunteer, the police car and an additional vehicle.
The offending driver was detained shortly afterwards.
The struck volunteer was lightly injured and taken to a hospital.
