The Portuguese Supreme Court has turned down a former CIA agent's appeal against extradition, Associated Press reports.

Sabrina De Sousa, one of the 26 people who were convicted in absentia over the 2003 abduction of an Egyptian cleric in Italy, is trying to fight against her six-year sentence.

She says she will now appeal to Portugal's Constitutional Court.

For now, Portugal intends to send her to Italy to serve her sentence.
