More than 20 people were killed in fighting in Yemen, only hours before a ceasefire was scheduled to take place, Reuters reports.
The fighting was primarily between the Saudi-backed government and the Iran-backed Houthi jihadists. The two sides agreed to observe a "cessation of hostilities" starting at midnight local time tonight (Sunday). The ceasefire would then lead to peace negotiations in Kuwait next week.
Most of today's fighting occurred in the capital of Sana'a, as well as in the center of the country.
