The Prime Minister's office has clarified that Binyamin Netanyahu has not promised to limit the number of Jews allowed to enter the Temple Mount, and certainly not to limit the number of religious Jews.
"The only limit is on Knesset members and ministers, both Arabs and Jews, which is still in effect. The Israeli government is pledged to maintain the status quo. As Passover approaches, all officials should demonstrate responsibility in order to keep the peace on the Temple Mount," the statement read.
