Iceland’s coalition government on Wednesday night named Agriculture Minister Sigurdur Ingi Johannsson as the country’s new prime minister, replacing Sigmundur David Gunnlaugsson who resigned earlier this week.
Gunnlaugsson resigned after it was revealed he had connections to a company registered in a Caribbean tax haven as part of the “Panama Papers.”
