Police arrested seven suspects this morning (Wednesday) on suspicion that they ran a network for creating and distributing illicit forms of alcohol and dishwashing liquid.
All of the products have labels similar to those of popular brands. Authorities say that the alcohol, which is similar to arak, is unfit for human consumption and presents a danger to public health.
The suspects will be charged with counterfeiting, aggravated fraud, trademark infringement, attempted tax evasion, conspiracy and more.
