MK Avigdor Liberman responded on Tuesday night to the military court’s decision to reject the prosecution’s appeal and keep the soldier who shot a terrorist dead under “house arrest” on his military base.
“The military court’s rejection of the prosecution’s appeal for the third time proves that there are judges within the IDF and that all attempts made by the various sources, including the Defense Minister, the media and leftwing organizations, to terrorize a judge and fix the trial’s results ahead of time, have failed.”
“I hope that at the end of the process, the soldier will be acquitted and it will be made clear to all that every Jew and every IDF soldier has the right to defend himself against a terrorist who rises to kill him.”
