Initial investigations into Monday’s fire inside an apartment building in Jerusalem’s Meah Shearim neighborhood, reveal that one of the building’s residents was attempting to prepare and kosher dishes to be used for baking matzah (unleavened bread).
The residents improperly and dangerously connected a gas burner to a 12 kilogram canister, leading to a gas leak and subsequent explosion.
