Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon and the non-profit StandWithUs organization initiated a special exhibition about Israel at the UN. However, elements within the exhibition portraying Zionism, Jerusalem and Arab Israelis were disqualified by the UN and removed from the exhibition.

In response, Ambassador Danny Danon demanded that UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon reverse the decision and hold a special exhibition that includes the censored elements.

“By disqualifying an exhibition about Zionism the UN is undermining the very existence of the State of Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people,” said Ambassador Danon.  “We will not allow the UN to censor the fact that Jerusalem is Israel’s eternal capital,” he continued.
