Belgium is instituting stricter security measures following this morning's (Tuesday) attack in Brussels, AFP reports.

Authorities have shut down the capital city's airport, trains, buses and trams, while Eurostar says that all trains into and out of Brussels are frozen.

"Our whole network is closed at the moment," the STIB public transportation operator posted on Twitter.

It is not yet known how long the domestic services will be closed, though the BRussels-Zaventem international airport says that it will reopen tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m.
