Police Commissioner Roni Alsheich visited the Bedouin city of Rahat today (Tuesday). While there, he encouraged community leaders to increase the police operations among the Bedouin community.
"The police is trying to work closely with the educational, religious and local authorities," he said. "We don't need cooperation for police enforcement, but we do need a true partnership in order to create a better society with much less crime."
He further encouraged Bedouins to refuse terrorists' calls for unity. "Separating from the terrorists is in our joint interest. Only then will people be unafraid to come to the Rahat market."
