Amar Abu Daka, the burglar-turned-murderer convicted of killing Yitzhak Elgabi in Moshav Avichayil in 2012, was sentenced to life in prison. He will also have to pay the victim’s family 688 thousand shekels.
Abu Daka fatally stabbed Elgabi in the chest with a screwdriver when an attempted robbery at Elgabi’s home went wrong.
