The Ministerial Committee for Legislation has given its approval to MK Moshe Gafni's (UTJ) law on mikvehs.
According to the bill, converts will only be able to use religious councils' mikvehs if they abide by halacha. The proposal is intended to circumvent the Supreme Court's recent ruling that Reform converts deserve access to mikvehs.
