In light of US Vice President Joe Biden’s impending visit to Israel on Tuesday, main roads in central Israel and Jerusalem are expected to intermittently close to traffic.
Highway 1 will close to traffic in the westbound direction between 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. from Ben Gurion International Airport to Kibbutz Galuyot Interchange, as will the Ayalon South, from Kibbutz Galuyot Interchange to Wolfson Interchange.
The Ayalon North will close to traffic between 6:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. from Wolfson Interchange to Glilot Interchange, as will the northbound Route 2 from Glilot to Shmayahu Interchange.
The southbound Route 2 will close from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. from Shmaryahu Intercange to Glilot, as will the Ayalon from Glilot Interchange to Highway 1 east to Jerusalem.
