A Turkish court has sentenced two Syrian men to four years in prison for the deaths of Alan Kurdi and four other refugees.

The court found Mufawaka Alabash and Asem Alfrhad guilty of human trafficking, though declared the two not guilty of causing death "through deliberate negligence."

Three-year-old Kurdi was found dead on a Greek beach and his picture was spread around the world last September.

Despite the dangers, thousands of asylum seekers enter Greece from Turkey every day.
