A suicide blast at a security checkpoint on the outskirts of the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, killed eight members of the security forces on Monday, Reuters reports.
The blast followed a separate attack at a Shiite funeral northeast of the Iraqi capital, in which at least 24 people were killed.
