A former hotel in eastern Germany that was intended to serve as a shelter for refugees caught fire early this morning (Sunday).
BBC reports that a crowd quickly gathered to cheer on the blaze and to stop firefighters from being able to get it under control.
Police from the town of Bautzen say that they do not yet know what caused the fire, and that they are considering the possibility of arson. Saxony Premier Stanislaw Tillich says that the happy onlookers are "criminals."
