Journalist Dan Margalit claimed in his weekly column in the Israel Hayom newspaper on Friday that the person who leaked information from Cabinet meetings during Operation Protective Edge in 2014 is not Jewish Home chairman Naftali Bennett.

"Sources close to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu determined that he knows that it was a Likud minister who leaked the secret information from the security cabinet meeting regarding a dispute over attacking the tunnels in Gaza. The controversy remains, and I believe that the defense establishment sees things in moderation in an appropriate contrast to Bennett and several of his colleagues, but he should not be held responsible for a leak that did not come from his mouth," wrote Margalit.
