Hundreds of police officers and volunteers spread out around popular sites across Israel, including clubs and bars, last night (Thursday) to perform sobriety checks.
In total, more than 2,200 breath tests were performed, mostly by the request of the civilians.
Police say that this action will continue tonight as well, and call on drivers to avoid unnecessary dangers and to not drink and drive.
