Saudi forces that are intended to participate in the ground operation in Syria will only be used to fight ISIS, and not Bashar al-Assad's military, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir told AFP. This is despite Saudi Arabia's strong opposition to Assad's regime.
"We have expressed our readiness to send our forces to Syria as part of the coalition, in order to fight against ISIS. This is the mission," said al-Jubeir.
