The Knesset Assembly has given preliminary approval to an amendment that would revoke a Knesset candidate's eligibility should they support a violent struggle against the State of Israel.
The bill would notably reverse the burden of proof; accused candidates would have to prove that they have not supported terror.
MK Oded Forer (Yisrael Beytenu) submitted the bill, though members of the coalition have supported it.
