Shai Alon, the head of the Beit El Council, responded to the shooting attack at a security checkpoint near the community.
“There has been a shift in gears within the terror wave,” Alon indicated. “We cautioned and said that the road should be closed. The reason that the road was not closed was in order to (locals) to live regular lives, and I connect to that, but there are those who take advantage of this. The army and officers are doing their utmost and for the most part there are extremely great successes, but there needs to be an increase in intimidation levels as well.”
