The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration and NASA have announced that 2015 was the hottest year in recorded history, going back 136 years.
The average temperature last year was 14.79 degrees (58.62 Fahrenheit). It beat the previous record, set in 2014, by 0.16 degrees. This is considered a very significant difference.
