Health Minister Yaakov Litzman said on Wednesday that “If the reform, mean to be launched in the next few weeks, is implemented as planned and without issues, I will also allow doctors, and not only Health Ministry run cannabis units, to prescribe cannabis to their patients, as per the Health Ministry’s guidelines.
According to Litzman, “The ill need to receive the cannabis with honor, without waiting and without running around to obtain it. That being said, I emphasize that we will strictly supervise the distribution and will ensure that only those who absolutely need cannabis receive it.”
